Ayala in Union Square is San Francisco’s latest chic seafood spot

Ayala, San Francisco’s sleek new seafood restaurant in Union Square’s Hotel G, officially opened this week.

Led by a pair of industry vets in Bill Montagne, most recently at Chicago’s Nico Osteria, and Melissa Perfit, a Bar Crudo alum and a former cheftestant on “Top Chef,” the project has taken over the former home of the short-flived 398 Brasserie.
